Philip has been active in global financial markets for almost 25 years. He began his career with J.P.Morgan & Co., where he worked for over 11 years, primarily as a derivatives and risk management specialist in structuring and trading roles in New York and London. Upon leaving Morgan, he moved to Massachusetts, where he launched his own asset management company, Bradbrooke Capital Management, to manage global macro strategies. He then joined Martello Asset Management, a fund-of-funds manager that allocated to global macro, long-short equity, systematic and quantitative alternative asset managers globally. Philip was also a founding shareholder in BetaPro Management, which eventually became Horizons Exchange-Traded Funds and grew to over $5 billion in assets under management. Philip and his young family returned to his native eastern Ontario with a move to Ottawa in 2011.  Philip earned a Bachelor of Economics from Mount Allison University in 1989 and a graduate degree from the Georgetown University School of Foreign Service, in Washington, DC, in 1991. Philip Smith 613-688-3857 |
Jeremy Klein

Jeremy began his career in Toronto, first at Altamira Investor Services and then at Reuters Information Services before joining Salomon Smith Barney, the investment banking arm of Citigroup in New York.  At Salomon, Jeremy produced quantitative equity research for traders and clients.  He later moved to Switzerland where he spent 8 years at the Swiss branch of AXA, one of the largest insurance companies in the world. While at AXA Switzerland, Jeremy became the head of asset allocation, reported to the Chief Investment Officer and lead a team of four investment professionals who were responsible for the day-to-day management of an asset pool worth more than 100 billion Canadian dollars.  Jeremy has investment experience with government and corporate bonds, mortgages, high yield bonds, public and private equity, hedge funds and real estate.  In 2014, Jeremy returned with his family to his native Ottawa, to manage his own assets and those of his family. Jeremy earned a Bachelor of Mathematics from the University of Waterloo in 1997 and the Chartered Financial Analyst designation in 2003. Jeremy Klein 613-688-3856 |

James brings an impressive business and entrepreneurial background to Investment Partners Fund Inc. (IPF), including successfully building a large automotive distributor in Central and Southern Ontario. James retired as Chairman of Max Auto in April 2014. James has spent his career assisting business owners in achieving their financial goals. He is also active in the community with a number of philanthropic interests. John Budden has over 50 years of diverse, domestic and international investment experience. He co-founded Rabin Budden Partners in the 1980’s with Ted Rabin and in 1989 was appointed President and CEO of Dynamic Fund Management. He has advised major international financial services companies on mergers and acquisitions, strategic alliances and emerging trends. Since returning to Ottawa from Boston in 2002, he has introduced a select group of great “under the radar” core and alternative investment managers to major pensions, endowments and family offices.
